We have quite a narrow long passage and wanted a runner but could never find anything suitable or long enough. When it comes to odd sizes it’s nearly impossible to find a rug you like.

The look we wanted was soft neutral colours to compliment the wooden floors and our wall décor. Even better than the option of custom fit, is the soft and luxurious sensation felt when walking out of our room at the start of each day, and then again at night – you almost want to sleep on it!

There’s nothing like a new rug to give you a feeling of a complete facelift to a room. The introduction of this new rug was made easy with Yudu – it adds another textural element that complements our concrete tiles, and has added a soft and warm feeling under foot.

I have worked with a neutral canvas and base, but I have added pops of colour in my finishes. Hence I chose a neutral rug for my kitchen but chose a pale pink border to finish it off. It has added something distinctive and it’s also picked up the pops of pink around my home – whether it’s in the pink lilies or roses that sit on my counter top or in my scatter cushions – pink is ...
